I hope everyone has been enjoying their Spring Break. A lot of our after-school classes start next week and the week after and I am pumped!
I also want to thank a lot of you for the opportunity to have had taught and inspired your children during the previous Winter session.
At LIFT Enrichment, our mission is to provide the BEST Lego Robotics and Cooking classes and camps for kids.  Everyday, I want to make sure we fulfill that promise.  I’ve received some great feedback from parents and have enjoyed seeing parents excited to sign up their kids for a new session.
This past session, I visited classes in action and saw kids become smarter, healthier adults through our programs, whether by making healthy spring rolls from scratch or building a robot that teaches kids about mechanics and programming.
It’s through all of our teachers’ hardwork that we can fulfill our mission. What we do is not easy, and I know firsthand it takes a large amount of prep, focus and patience to successfully pull off a class.
I’ve been thinking about what it takes to teach a good class, and I boiled it down to the Four Ps
Punctuality – By arriving promptly, we show respect for our school client and the students that are enrolled.
Preparedness – Our teachers make sure to bring all the ingredients and utensils that are required, or that the day’s Lego Robotics lesson is ready to go.
Professionalism – Our teachers conduct themselves in a polite and engaging way. We look neat and put together and our clients appreciate our reliability.
Passionate – Our teachers bring fun and enthusiasm to each class. They inspire kids to try new foods or think of robotics in new ways. They go the extra mile and it shows!
And if there was a 5th P
It would be
Puppy (and panda)
(this pic was of my new puppy Emmet who is 4.5 months old and is taking a nap at LIFT Enrichment HQ after a 2 mile walk this morning)
