SERVICES

Our Service

We provide in-person healthy cooking workshops for Title I schools in California, New York, and Texas. Our workshops are engaging, hands-on experiences designed to teach kids essential cooking skills and promote healthy eating habits.

With over 15 years of experience, we teach more than 17,000 students weekly.

We believe in empowering kids by teaching them the valuable skill of cooking—one that will serve them for life. Our workshops are not only engaging but also educational, combining hands-on cooking with lessons about the cultural and nutritional significance of each recipe.

Our recipes are healthy and nutritious, focusing on cooking with plenty of vegetables. Some of our recipes put a healthy twist on kids’ favorite dishes, such as a healthy version of Taco Bell’s Crunchwrap or Veggie Mac and Cheese with Broccoli.

10-week program

It’s a 10-week program designed to teach kids essential cooking skills. The 10-week structure ensures they have time to learn and practice, while our range of cookbooks allows them to create new recipes with each session.

How a Cooking Class Works?

⦁ Each workshop is a 1-hour hands-on session for up to 20 students.

⦁ Students participate in every step, including chopping, mixing, and preparing the recipe with our chef teachers.

⦁ Every session ends with students tasting the dish they’ve created—and we share samples with the staff and office, too!

⦁ We run two back-to-back workshops daily to reach more students and maximize our impact.

What Kids Will Learn?

⦁ Cooking Skills: How to prepare easy, healthy recipes from scratch.

⦁ Cultural and Nutritional Knowledge: The origins and history of each dish, plus the vitamins and nutrients in the ingredients.

⦁ Practical Life Skills: Kitchen safety, cooking techniques, and real-life math and science—like measuring and understanding fractions.

How We Work Without a Kitchen?

⦁ Our workshops don’t need a full kitchen—just a classroom with sink access.

⦁ We bring everything: a portable culinary kit with an electric skillet, cutting boards, metal butter knives, and all ingredients.

⦁ Workshops can be set up on a long table or regular desks arranged in a U-shape

How We Manage the Classroom?

⦁ Our chef instructors follow standardized processes developed over 15 years to ensure workshops are engaging and organized.

⦁ Group Activities: Kids work in small groups, so everyone participates.

⦁ Classroom Management: Simple, effective techniques keep kids focused and involved.

⦁ Interactive Learning: Every session is fun, structured, and educational.
