Check out this video I made! It’s a short portion of a 3-hour training session I did for a Professional Development Workshop to help Woodcraft Ranger teachers learn to teach cooking to their students. In this segment I go over what is LIFT Enrichment, the purpose of the company and why kids need to learn to cook.

Virtual Summer Cooking Camp 2020 has a few spots open Jun-Aug for kids who want to learn to cook, understand the food industry, develop lifeskills, have fun and eat more vegetables! (Limited to the first 20 signups per week!)

Woodcraft Rangers hired LIFT Enrichment to train their staff on how to teach cooking classes to 400 of their students. The room had 20 teachers in it who would go on to teach 8-10 lessons each to groups of 20 kids at different sites.

First we ALWAYS start with the WHY behind cooking. A lot of them hadn’t met me so I started with some info about LIFT Enrichment such as

  • How many students we’ve helped through cooking classes (over 20,000!)
  • When we started (in 2010…10 years of experience)
  • How many Chef teachers we have (50+)

And then I asked the group “Why should kids experience a cooking class? What result do we want to get?”

The group gave some good answers, which aren’t in this video but the main reasons are

  • to improve their health
  • to cook with their families at home
  • to learn how to cook for the rest of their life
  • to eat more vegetables
  • to save money on eating out
  • to eat more nutritious foods!

Check out more about how we get kids to transform their health, eat more vegetables and COOK with their parents every week through live virtual cooking lessons in our Kids Can Cook Inner Circle at www.liftenrichment.com
